Burundi

I am a creative person. I have applied my creativity to everything from co-founding a software company to being an actor. I am passionate. I have an unhealthy appetite for chaos. I am a believer in a Creative God, but not necessarily a God who intervenes. I understand the world is tilted in our favour, we can’t change that, but we have to be aware of the responsibility that comes along with it.

My writing is deeply personal, yet I believe the themes are universal.  I do my best not to be definitive or declarative.  I am just trying to make sense of things as I go along.

Plato in writing to Socrates once said that ‘the unexamined life is not worth living’.  Another way of saying that is you can’t know where you are going until you know where you are.  I am in a constant state of figuring out where I am, because there are all sorts of places I want to go.

I am married, and I have three boys who are well on their way to shaping their own lives.  Professionally I have been everything from youth worker to software entrepreneur.  I spend a couple of weeks a year in Central Africa learning and traveling amongst the poorest people on earth – trying to better understand how then shall I live.

Thanks for dropping by.  I look forward to the connection.
Much Peace,
Rory
